“What You Wish For” (*1/2 out of four) was an ungainly “comedy” about a chef (Nick Stahl) with severe gambling problems who flees to a Latin American villa and assumes the identity of someone else to help improve his life. A 30-minute idea bloated out to nearly two hours without enough story or dramatic interest to keep it afloat. By this point, Stahl needs to start “wishing” for better scripts and roles.
