“The Bad Nun 3” (** out of four) was an overly familiar horror thriller about the title bad nun who has returned and sets her evil sights on a girl (Kelly Rian Sanson) in the mountains who is on vacation. Third in this series won’t win any new converts and is for fans only but is actually the best of the trilogy, thanks to good acting and filmmaking and a creepy atmosphere of horrific dread. A few homages to “Scream” are a nice touch as well.
