“Speed Demon” (*1/2 out of four) was a typically solemn and ridiculous horror psychodrama about a nun (Katie Cassidy) who recently lost her faith and has to perform an exorcism on a disgruntled individual (John Patrick Jordan) aboard a high-speed train. Attempt to merge the action stylistics of “Bullet Train” with the religious horror of “The Exorcism” does not work and derails long before its running time is up. William H. Macy is wasted in a supporting role as a priest; by this point, he’d best pray to God he gets another role like “Fargo” before he calls it a day
