“The Haunted Forest” (*1/2 out of four) was a limp horror melodrama about a precocious teenager (Grayson Gwaze) who takes a job as a scare actor at a local haunted forest attraction. When an accident occurs, him and his misfit co-workers (Cedric Gegel, Kaitlyn Lunardi, and others) all begin to question their trust in one another and find their suspicions raising to the surface. Give writer/director Keith Boynton credit for trying to add a layer of psychodrama to the usual teen-horror cliches but the results are pointless and boring. Altor Mellibar’s colorful cinematography is one of film’s few virtues.
