“Amityville Karen” (* out of four) was an unbearably awful horror show about a prototypical “Karen” (Lauren Francesca) who becomes possessed and overtaken by the evil spirits of Amityville and this engulfs and endangers everyone around her (James Duval, Shawn C. Phillips, and others). Latest in a never-ending stream of “Amityville” cash-in titles but this one is bad enough to make Margot Kidder and Burt Young turn over in their graves. Phillips also directed, co-produced, and did film’s ugly cinematography.
